The Premier Soccer League observed a moment of silence at all its league opener games this weekend of August 9 and 10 in honour of the late the of Earl Davids, a club official of newly formed Siwelele Football Club.

In a statement, the league said it was deeply saddened by the passing of Davids and extended its heartfelt condolences to his family during this difficult time.

The state said a moment of silence will be observed in his honour at all Betway Premiership fixtures this weekend that mark the opening of the new 2025/26 season of the Betway Premiership.

The statement further wished Davids’ soul repose peacefully. No cause of death nor the age of the late was mentioned in the statement.
