Cape Town City Football Club has unveiled leading international sports betting brand SportPesa as the club’s title sponsor for a second time. This comes after the departure of First National Bank following the relegation of the club from the Betway Premiership last season to the Motsepe Foundation Championship.

A club statement said the renewal of the sponsorship deal reinforces SportPesa’s ongoing commitment to the growth of South African football and will still see the brand serve as the official betting partner of the Cape Citizens, as Cape Town City FC is known to its avid fans.

The sponsorship will see the SportPesa name back on the club’s official playing kits, training apparel, and across stadium and digital assets. Additionally, the statement
said, fans can look forward to exclusive promotions, match-day activations, and community-based programmes aimed at supporting local development through sport.

This extended partnership aligns with SportPesa’s mission to support local talent, drive innovation in sports entertainment, and promote responsible betting practices across South Africa.
