Cape Town City Football Club has announced the signing of Miguel Timm from Stellenbosch FC.
He comes with revs under astute coach Steve Barker, who has since parted ways with the club to join Tanzania’s Simba SC.
Simba is one of Tanzania’s biggest football clubs, a move announced in December 2025 after his departure from Stellenbosch FC in South Africa.
He arrived in Tanzania around late December 2025 and quickly began leading the team, already securing a win in the NMB Mapinduzi Cup in early January 2026.
Coach Gavin Hunt, recently laid off from Durban City, replaced the master tactician Barker who has guided the team since its formation in August 3, 2016 and transformed it into a mini-winning machine that slayed several big name teams in the country over many seasons and went on to reach the semi-finals of the Caf Confederations Cup in its maiden season last year.
